Chung Cheng High Yishun Winning Mandarin Song Music Video Production!

Intune Music is honoured to have been engaged, once again, to coach, judge and produce the winning mandarin song for a competition organised under the Chung Cheng High School (Yishun)'s Learning for Life Programme (LLP), an initiative from Ministry of Education, Singapore (MOE) with the aim to instill life skills and socio-emotional competencies in the areas of sports or the performing arts in school for the students!

The music video for this song was directed by Express Oh Photography and Film, involving a professional film director, crew and makeup artistes too. This is the 2nd time that we are producing the winning song for Chung Cheng High's LLP programme, and we are proud to be able to inspire their students and transform their original song composition into a professionally produced song.

Intune Music always seeks to inspire new stories and tunes from our students, and this is just one way in which we encourage our students to keep writing original tunes, and express their emotions through great melodies, harmonies and meaningful lyrics!

Through our school outreach programmes, we are able to share our love for music and lyrics with these creative students! We believe that through this experience, the students are able to discover themselves in music, and hopefully develop their musical interests into their life's inspiration!

Stay tuned for the final product to be released by the end of this year 2018!

This year's winning song is a rock pop song, featuring a super cool student rock band from the school!

Presbyterian High School's Winning Song 《曙光 Dawn》 N6 Cluster Secondary School Songwriting Competition Music Video Production

The winning song from 2018 N6 Cluster Secondary School Mandarin Song Writing Competition is《曙光 Dawn》from Presbyterian High School! This year, besides Presbyterian High School, there were 3 other secondary schools that participated in this Mandarin song writing competition, and they are Yio Chu Kang Secondary School, Deyi Secondary School and Orchid Park Secondary School.

《曙光 Dawn》is written by 3 Presbyterian High School students, and it depicts how their friendship has provided them with wonderful memories that they have shared together in their schooling life, and also the courage, confidence and support that they have given each other, to face the challenges right now as well as in the future.

This song has brilliantly demonstrated how much they value their friendship with each other, and the willingness, determination and commitment in continuing their bonds of friendship even though they know that there will be a lot of uncertainty in the future.

We would like to give special mentions to Intune Music Director, Peng Chi Sheng (冯启胜)and songwriting instructor, 譚志華 Derrick Tham, for giving all the students their guidance, coaching and valuable advice in their original song composition, and also for encouraging and nurturing their songwriting skills through the many hours of workshops.

Also, a big shout-out to Mr Sin Sek Jhia from Intune Music, for his professional support and guidance in recording and editing skills in this music production.

And also to Mr Patrick Poh from Express Oh Photography and Film for directing the music video, adding moving images to the music, and giving students a positive educational experience of how music videos are made.

Intune Music always seeks to inspire and nurture Singapore’s younger generation in creating new local originals, and to motivate them to express their perspectives, interests and feelings freely through words, melody and music

SNGS Winning Mandarin Song Music Video Production 《谢谢你》

For the past 5 years, Intune Music has been coaching, arranging, producing and filming the CHIJ St Nicholas Girls' School's winning mandarin song, turning the students’ original song and raw demos into polished music compositions with professionally-produced music videos, and turning their student inspirations into reality!

For this year, the winning song 《谢谢你》, from the 2018 Chinese Song Writing Workshop, Organisation of Chinese Song Writing Competition and Stage Performance Training, is a sentimental ballad beautifully written by a CHIJ student, signifying her gratitude towards the friendships and bonds that she has formed throughout her schooling years.

We would like to thank Intune Music songwriting instructor and regional famed songwriter, 譚志華 Derrick Tham for coaching, inspiring and encouraging the students to express their feelings freely through words and music, while sparking their interest in creativity and expression.

Also, many thanks to Intune Music instructor and music arranger Sin Sek Jhia, for arranging the song for the students, and for his efforts in recording and post-production, adding more dimensions to the song.

Our director, Peng Chi Sheng (冯启胜), also oversaw the entire project and gave his valuable input as well.

A special mention to Patrick Oh from Express Oh Photography and Film, for directing the music video, translating the musical piece into a storyline and moving visuals.

Also, a special thank you to CHIJ St. Nicholas Girls' School (SNGS) for believing in Intune Music for so many years, and allowing us to help their students to discover their musical talents and potential, nurture their interests in songwriting and creativity, and hopefully turning everyday interests into lifelong inspirations! We are definitely looking forward to more collaborations with SNGS in future, helping Singapore’s next generation of musicians and lyrics writers to express their life stories with original music and lyrics!

N6 Cluster Primary School Songwriting Workshops!

Intune Music Director Peng Chi Sheng and Intune Music Song Writing Instructor, Derrick Tham coached and gave guidance to primary level students from the N6 Cluster of schools, namely CHIJ St Nicholas Girls' School, North View Primary School, Peiying Primary School and Huamin Primary School, for this year’s Mandarin Song Writing workshops!

Over the few weeks of lessons, the instructors heard many refreshing and inspiring creations from the young primary school students, and these include their unique perspectives on various aspects of Singapore culture, their thoughts and ideas on friendship, relationships and family, and also about their stories about school life, their passion for food, and their anticipation towards achieving their dreams!

It was definitely a wonderful feeling experienced by our instructors when these young students were able to express themselves through music and lyrics, and also share their moments, feelings and perspectives with their peers!

We hope that we have inspired this generation of youth to continue their interest in expressing themselves through music, and continue to pursue their passions so they can be the next pillars of Singapore’s music industry!

We here at Intune Music are definitely looking forward to help them to record their very own original songs very soon, so stay tuned!
