Maris Stella Primary School iPad Garageband Workshop!

Intune Music Director, Aaron Matthew Lim and along with Intune Music instructors, Nigel and Ting Hui conducted an iPad Garageband Workshop at Maris Stella Primary School! 

With the integration of technology, most music are now digitalised!  Intune Music's iPad Garageband workshop utilized the technology and one of the useful applications in iPad to educate the students in Maris Stella Primary School in music making in a very interactive way! 

GarageBand is a line of digital audio workstations for macOS and iOS that allows users to create music or podcasts. Its music and podcast creation system enables users to create multiple tracks with pre-made MIDI keyboards, pre-made loops, an array of various instrumental effects, and voice recordings.

CHIJ Our Lady of the Nativity Pop Vocalist Programme!

Intune Music Vocals Instructors,  Huishan, Rebecca, Sitong, Sia Yeun and  Zhihui will be conducting a series of Pop Vocalist Programme at CHIJ Our Lady of the Nativity for the students there! 

With their expertise and experience as vocalists, instructors and/or performers, they will be coaching and guiding the CHIJ Students on the know-hows in singing and performing, and also how to present their song in front of their peers! 

Many useful and effective topics will be covered including breathing control and techniques, vocalization, pitch control, rhythm, vocal diction, stage movements, presence and presentation, and also building their confidence in performing! 

Intune Music hopes to inspire the next generation of Singapore musicians and singers, right here in their school days through this workshop!

Woodgrove Secondary School Pop Songwriting Workshop!

Intune Music Director, Peng Chi Sheng and Music instructor Sin Sek Jhia, were at Woodgrove Secondary and conducted a 2 days of English Pop Songwriting Workshop! 

Through this workshop, together with the students, we explored the basics of Songwriting, topics includes the tools and rules or songwriting, basic principles of lyrics writing and rhyming techniques with the students.

Idea development is also one of the important topics that we went through with them! In idea development, we encouraged the students to express themselves with their own topics, feelings and emotions. With this, they would be able to think out of the box and increased their creativity ability!

We definitely hope after 10 hours of workshop within 2 days, the students at Woodgrove Secondary will be inspired and carry on with their creative mind in creating the next Singapore hit song!

Tanjong Katong Secondary School Pop Vocal Workshop!

Intune Music Vocal Instructors, Si Ming and Zhi Hui, conducted a 3 hour Pop Vocal Workshop at Tanjong Katong Secondary School (TKSS) as part of their post-examination activities 

In that 3 hours, the student were taught about the basic vocal warm up, musical scales and in addition to that, our instructors have also explored the topic of vocal projection with the students! 

With the handouts that we provided them, we are able to go through the topics with them efficiently so that the students have a better understanding in singing! 

 After this workshop, we certainly hope that students in Tanjong Katong Secondary School has been inspired to be the next generation of vocalists in Singapore! 

Who knows? Perhaps the next Stefanie Sun or JJ Lin are in this workshop!

Da Qiao Primary School's Xin Yao and Lyric Writing Workshop !

Intune Music Director, Peng Chi Sheng （冯启胜）and Intune Music instructors, Derrick Tham (譚志華) and Tay Sia Yeun ( 郑夏韵 ) went over to Da Qiao Primary School and conducted a Xinyao (新谣) and Lyric Writing Workshop! 

This workshop aims to instill the young generation of Singapore with the history behind Xin Yao (新谣) which is unique to Singapore which are composed by Singaporeans and sung by Singaporeans. This had provided an platform and outlet for Singaporeans to express their thoughts and feelings.

Xinyao can be clearly identified by its distinctive style of Mandarin genre, that are being conveyed through poetic lyrics with clean acoustics accompaniments.

Also for Lyric Writing workshop, this provided the knowledge and creativity sense to the students at Da Qiao Primary School, about them having the ability to express themselves through songs and melody. 

We hope that we have inspired the students to be more expressive in their thoughts and also perhaps be the next big Singaporean musician!

Woodgrove Secondary School Songwriting - The Genesis of A Pop Song Workshop

Intune Music Director, Peng Chi Sheng along with instructor, Tay Sia Yeun and Sin Sek Jhia went over to Woodgrove Secondary School on 17 October and conducted a Songwriting Assembly workshop - The Genesis of A Pop Song

In this workshop, students are given an in-depth understanding into The Songwriting Process, and how to write a song quickly and easily! 

The main aim for this Exposure Programme is to expose the students to songwriting, make it fun and interesting for the students, and allow them to draw inspiration from their daily life and turn these activities or thoughts into their own songs and lyrics! 

During the workshop / performance, some student volunteers may also be invited on stage to participate in the song items with the singers, or even to compose a song on the spot with the instructors, and this also makes it more interactive and fun for the audience!

We believe Music to be the bridge between communities and also, an identification of our nation as a whole and songwriting aids teens with expression of their thoughts and feelings. It is an art form which can be developed as a future career path, or cultivated as a hobby for stress relief in Singapore’s fast-paced society. It will also aid in fostering closer ties between the educator and students as they work together on songwriting. 

We aim to educate and inspire students to create more local content, to understand more on IP Intellectual property rights and to respect the works by their friends. To create an environment where creators (supply) and consumers (demand) respect each other and to increase and improve the quality of local content in Singapore and to create the awareness that the link between language and music is ubiquitous as we listen all sorts of music everywhere and everyday in our lives. 

A heightened awareness and appreciation of music and lyric will improve the quality of the lives of everyone.

Chung Cheng High School (Yishun) Mandarin Songwriting Recording!

Intune Music conducted the recording session for 3 songs for  the students in Chung Cheng High School (Yishun) Mandarin Songwriting competition under the Learning for Life Programme (LLP) 2018 under Ministry of Education (MOE)

This programme  provides students with real-life experiences to develop character and values, cultivate positive attitudes, self-expression and strengthen their people skills. The LLP may be developed in focus areas such as Community & Youth Leadership, Music & Performing Arts, Visual Arts & Design and Sports & Outdoor Education.

Vocal Workshop at Hwa Chong Institution (College) !

Students at Hwa Chong Institution (College) underwent 5 hours Pop Vocal Workshop conducted by Intune Music Pop Vocal and Keyboard Instructor, Ms Teo Zuo En for their Sabbaticals!

In this 5 hours of Pop Vocal Workshop, our instructor went through the basics of the singing which including the breathing techniques,  body posture, the vocal folds, and vocalization. 

With the provision of Intune Msuic's comprehensive handouts and the experience of our instructor, Ms Zuo En, the students has gained the new knowledge and new skill set from this workshop!

Ukulele Workshop at Hwa Chong Institution (College)

Students at Hwa Chong Institution (College) underwent 5 hours Ukulele Workshop conducted by Intune Music Guitar and Ukulele Instructor for their Sabbaticals! 

In this workshop, our instructor went through the basics of the ukulele playing and the students got to learn the ukulele playing techniques for many songs including, Stand By Me by Ben E King and Bruno Mars's Just The Way You Are! 

With the guidance of the comprehensive handouts that we had provided the students and the experience of our instructor, Mr Irwan, the students has gained the new knowledge and new skill set from this workshop!
