Yangzheng Primary Songwriting and Lyrics Workshop 2012

Intune Music School director Peng Chi Sheng conducted a Songwriting and Lyrics Writing Workshop for the P5 pupils of Yangzheng Primary School during November 2012. This workshop taught the pupils how to write their very own original compositions, and also how to refine their Mandarin song lyrics and melodies to create a lovely song!

Local singer songwriter Bevlyn Khoo was also engaged to teach the children more about lyrics and melody writing, so as to add to their learning enjoyment and allow the children to interact with an actual singer in the pop music industry.

This songwriting and lyrics workshop was extremely fun with the involvement of director Chi Sheng, as well as local singer songwriter Ms. Bevlyn Khoo! We hope we can organise more similar activities for many schools in 2013!

Anderson Primary School Talentime Nov 2012

Our director Mr. Aaron Lim from Intune Music School was honoured to have been invited to judge the Talentime for Anderson Primary School during November 2012. The performances on show that afternoon were wonderful and showcased the variety of talents that the Anderson Primary students had!

Yangzheng Primary iPad Programme Nov 2012

Intune Music School conducted an express version of our full iPad Music Programme for Yangzheng Primary School during November 2012. This was a 3 hour iPad music workshop that taught these Primary 6 students how to navigate the GarageBand software, as well as how to create their own original songs in that short time!

SIM University Convocation Dinner Performance 2012

Our director Aaron Lim was engaged to conduct vocal lessons for select members of SIM University's students/staff to be able to perform at the university's convocation ceremonies as well as Annual Gala Dinner. The guest of honour for the dinner was President Tony Tan and Mrs Mary Tan.

 Aaron is proud to have been given the opportunity to coach the SIM students and staff members to sing their theme song, 'Onwards and Beyond', written by local renowned vocal coach and musician Babes Conde! iPad Music Programme at Seng Kang Primary School by Intune!

Intune Music School conducted yet another iPad Music Programme successfully! This was an 8-week programme for Seng Kang Primary School, for their primary 4 students.

Many of the children came into the course with little music background, but they were able to produce music works that astounded even the music teacher in charge! The iPad GarageBand software allows children to produce songs that are well structured and coherent, without stressing too much on the children actually having to learn the notes that are being played. It was a fun and stressless way for the children to learn more about music arrangement, and yet be able to pick up some important pointers about music.

Hmm.. I think i'm on to something wonderful!

Overall, it was an enriching experience for the children to be part of this iPad Music Programme, and we will be repeating this programme next year for more primary school children! Teachers are usually surprised that children are more attentive during these music classes, and even the naughty students sometimes really sit down to work on their original songs with full attention and concentration. ;-p
