The Ukulele has grown much in popularity over these past few years. With just 4 simple strings, the Ukulele certainly is a great choice for adults who would like to pick up a simple musical instrument. It also is very popular amongst young children, with its light weight and great portability and tremendous ease of playing!

iPad GarageBand Music Programme for Balestier Hill Primary School

Intune Music instructor, Mr Lee Ting Hui, went to Balestier Hill Primary School to conduct a iPad GarageBand Music Programme for the Primary 4 students!

"GarageBand for iOS makes it incredibly simple to play, record and share your music, no matter where you are. Tap into a wide range of instruments from around the world. And now with the Sound Library, you can choose and download more free instrument and loop packs when new sounds are released, to help you easily craft songs in your favourite styles"

In this programme, our instructor, Ting Hui, taught the students how to simply create their music through using iPad and combining technology and music together, basically, making music without instruments!

It is definitely great to see the youth discovering their creativity in music and have fun doing it!

Vocals and Cajon Lessons for New Hope Community Services at Temasek Polytechnic

Intune Music is conducting a series of lessons for the beneficiaries of New Hope Community Services at Temasek Polytechnic from February to June 2018!
"New Hope Community Services (NHCS) was registered as a charity in 2004. Their sole motivation is the love of God and the conviction that His church must stay relevant to the needs of the community.

We are concerned for those in need and we strive to reach out to them, regardless of their race or religion.

In June 2007, New Hope Community Services launched the Shelter for Displaced Families. We recognise that homelessness can strike in many ways.

Our mission is to stand in the gap and provide a Shelter of Hope to these homeless Singaporeans and to empower them to alleviate and improve their situation.

At New Hope Community Services, our goal goes beyond providing temporary shelter to those we serve; we want to infuse them with real hope to see their lives changed."

The presentation was done in a fun and interesting manner, with drama and play acting as well as song performances throughout the session with 3-4 characters depicting a simple storyline that weaves in the Xinyao songs to tell a story, so to educate and share with the youth of Singapore that Xinyao is an unique and an important part of Singapore’s mandarin music history.

This workshop also have a performance of various popular Xinyao songs, as well as re-interpretations of some classic Xinyao tunes.

We hope that through this workshop, the youths have the deeper understanding of Singapore’s history, friendship, school life, family, philosophy, environment, patriotism through the songs and we hope that we have inspired some of youth today to be another Dr.Liang Wern Fook.
