Intune Music Director, Peng Chi Sheng and Music instructor Sin Sek Jhia, were at Woodgrove Secondary and conducted a 2 days of English Pop Songwriting Workshop!
Through this workshop, together with the students, we explored the basics of Songwriting, topics includes the tools and rules or songwriting, basic principles of lyrics writing and rhyming techniques with the students.
Idea development is also one of the important topics that we went through with them! In idea development, we encouraged the students to express themselves with their own topics, feelings and emotions. With this, they would be able to think out of the box and increased their creativity ability!
We definitely hope after 10 hours of workshop within 2 days, the students at Woodgrove Secondary will be inspired and carry on with their creative mind in creating the next Singapore hit song!
